LUKE GEORGE ( P.G.LUKE ) |
I was born on 03 June 1953 as the eldest son of Aleykutty and P. L. George belonging to Puthankulam family of Kodikulam village, Thodupuzha Taluk, Kerala state. Father was a teacher of Malayalam language. Religion : Roman Catholic sect of Christianity.
Educational Qualifications :
-- Studied in St.Sebastian's School (1958 – 62) Neyassery upto fourth standard and afterwards in St.Mary's School (1962-68). I passed SSLC in 1968 meritoriously.
--Graduated from Newman College (1968-73) Thodupuzha. Secured second rank in B.Sc. (Mathematics Main) of 1973 Batch of Kerala University.
-- Post-Graduation from Department of Statistics, Kariavattam Campus, University of Kerala , Thiruvananthapuram. Secured first rank in M.Sc (Statistics) of 1975 Batch of Kerala University.
-- Received M.Phil (Statistics) in 1976 with A Grade from Dept.of Statistics, Kariavattam Campus, University of Kerala .
Professional Experience :
-- Joined Reserve Bank of India Mumbai on 28-09-1976 as Statistical Assistant and became Staff Officer on
28-04-1982 .
-- Served National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) at Mumbai (1983-85), Thiruvananthapuram (1985-1993) and Pune (1993-2001), as Assistant Manager and Manager. Voluntarily retired from NABARD service on 29-9-2001 .
Research Experience :
-- Conducted various studies in connection with official work in Reserve Bank and NABARD
-- Prepared article titled productivity of Capital Investment on Marine Fishing Crafts of Kerala and got it published in July-Sept. 1993 issue of Productivity, Journal of the National Productivity council. On the basis of this article, got selected in 1993 for research in Dept. of Economics, university of Kerala . But it was discontinued due to transfer of office posting.
-- Participated during 2004-2005 in the programme of School of People's Economics, conducted by VICHARA, Mavelikara, Kerala.
-- Prepared and published in 2004 a Malayalam book titled Saptaloka Darshanam Samgraham , PGL Books, Changanacherry, Kerala – 686 101.
-- Published an article titled From Modern Science to System Philosophy in the June 2005 issue of the journal OMEGA of ISR Aluva, Kerala.
I am presently engaged in writing an English Book on System Philosophy. And, I participate in research projects, seminars and discussions concerned with science, religion and other social systems.
